Our mission is to create supportive and nurturing environments for children and families through advocacy, innovation, and the power of positive relationships.
We believe in fostering a healthy environment where every child’s voice is heard, families receive continuous support, and communities collaboratively build bright futures for all.

Throughout the 28 counties in Bexar County and the South Central and Hill Country Region, there are nearly 900 children and families in foster care. They need loving homes and a strong support system. You can become a mentor or volunteer for our precious youth who need loving people in their lives, just like you.

For over 40 years, SJRC Texas has been committed to providing vulnerable children and families with the care and resources they need to overcome their challenges and thrive as they look to the future. Through our foster care residential treatment program, our community-based care division Belong, foster care and adoption program, kinship and reunification services, our Family Resource Center in New Braunfels, and family support program, we have successfully transformed the lives of more than 72,000 children, giving them hope, stability, and a chance at a better life. From the joyous celebrations of watching a child on the Touchstone Campus graduate, to the immense gratitude shared by parents and children who’ve found their forever families, every step of this journey has been filled with heartwarming moments that reaffirm the importance of our mission.
