Things to Consider About Fostering or Adoption

At SJRC Texas, we prioritize reunifying children with their biological families when it is safe and appropriate. When reunification is not in the best interest of the child and we are unable to place a child with extended family, we shift our focus to finding a Forever Family through adoption.
SJRC Texas | Belong is looking for individuals and families to open their hearts and homes to children in foster care. Becoming a foster or adoptive parent is a great way to help children in need, give back, and strengthen the community.
Foster families are individuals or families who provide a safe and loving place for foster children to live. They provide a normal living environment, help children build self-esteem, learn social skills, and provide opportunities to create happy childhood memories. You also have the opportunity to give a child a forever home, through adoption.
